Visited Aviemore and Silverglades on many occasions. Accommodation and location is great for families with young children or teenagers. Accommodation is bungalow type houses so no stairs, safe environment and properties have own garden. A pedestrian/cycle path leads from Silverglades straight into town - a nice 5 minute walk. For those who enjoy the outdoors whether just the sedate walker or the more adventurous, there is something for everyone within the immediate area or no more than a half hour drive away. Most eateries/restaurants are independent within Aviemore - there is no McDonald burger chain! Places we liked are the Rowan Tree at Kincaig near Loch Insch, The Old Bridge Inn, Dalfaber Road, Aviemore and International Starters, Grampian Road, Aviemore. Mrs M, Glasgow, Lanarkshire 28 September 2010
Fantastic location, amazing scenery, clean and a home from home. Mrs M, Helensburgh, Dunbartonshire 23 August 2010
Initial reaction from 6 year-old Callum was: "WOW!" And at the end of our 2 week stay it was: "Please can we stay here and not go back to Edinburgh?" Where else could you see a roe deer on the other side of your garden fence? On our 7 minutes walk into Aviemore village, we stopped to offer sugar lumps to ponies in a field; we saw the sheep and cows grazing, and then, hey presto, we were in beautiful Aviemore village. Our holiday location was perfectly placed for touring. The sauna in our Cairngorms bungalow was superb! Mrs N, Edinburgh, Midlothian 20 July 2010

Fantastic accommodation, and the log burning stove and the sauna were very nice extra features. Very spacious accommodation and we would definitely return. Mrs R, CONSETT, County Durham 10 July 2009
